The present work explores the relationship between environmental ethics and applied econometrics, focusing on the energy consumption of econometric models training. As an example of good practices, the RETINA algorithm has been programmed in Python following a Green AI approach. Bottlenecks present in the original algorithm have been eliminated, and the ability to measure CO2 emissions during the algorithm's training has been added. Additionally, new functionalities that were not present in the original procedure have been incorporated. This new version has been named Eco-RETINA.

Fray Juan Zapata y Sandoval, OESA, a Creole born in Mexico City and descendant of auditors and audiencia presidents, entered the Order of San Agustín at the Colegio de San Pablo de México in 1590. Twelve years later, in 1602, he came to Spain to the University College of San Gabriel de Valladolid, where he was appointed Rector and Professor of Theology. Thirteen years later, consecrated bishop, he exercises his episcopal ministry first in Chiapas and later in Guatemala. His condition as a Creole and his scientific and human prestige before the king and his advisors make him an obligatory and valued consultant on Indian affairs. He was perhaps one of the most prominent figures in the New World in the study of these topics due to the depth of his reflections and the originality of his treatises. His work is a conscientious report of wide scholarship on the government of the Indies, especially New Spain, based on the axes of the School of Salamanca and elaborated from his experience.

Abstract: What is known as Location Theory had a long development, especially in the first decades of the 20th century, to reach a period of scientific maturity and very advanced elaboration at the end of the '30s and during the '40s, especially, with the figure of A. Lösch. But it was in the 1950s when it gave way to what would be a true Spatial Economy, configured as an interdisciplinary Regional Science. The key figure of Professor Oreste Popescu and the Económica magazine were incorporated into the Anglo-Saxon predominance - as the center of coordinates for scientific and academic activity, study, publishing and research in the South (Argentina).

The continuity of economic activities in small farms in the primary sector is crucial for the sustainability of the rural environment, and generational change emerges as a determining factor in this process. This work offers a synthesis of the problem, evaluating the origin, the current situation and future projections. Through the case study of native sheep farming on the island of El Hierro (Canary Islands), vital to produce El Hierro cheese, we analyze how territorial added value can increase the value of products of differentiated quality and, Therefore, improving the profitability of small farms. The analysis also identifies significant barriers faced by new entrepreneurs in the primary sector, such as lack of profitability, difficulties in accessing land, negative perception of the sector and excessive bureaucratic burden. The study highlights the importance of preserving this agrarian model and highlights the role of territorial added value in the sustainability and development of small and medium-sized export companies.

Abstract: The unstoppable increase in the number of tourist rentals, apart from increasing the offer of tourist facilities to visitors, has caused undesirable effects on the urban fabric of large Spanish cities. The tension generated among residents by the degradation of the areas most affected by the phenomenon of vacation rentals has provoked, since the beginning of 2024, a public reaction against mass tourism, demanding that the authorities establish limits that manage to channel it properly through street mobilizations. The Spanish Public Administrations that were already sufficiently aware of the consequences of the phenomenon described have reacted promptly, taking advantage of the new perspectives opened up by the most recent jurisprudence of the High Court of Justice of the European Union. Each level of government, from its respective position of competence, has planned a series of actions, most of them coordinated with the territorial Administration that is closest to them to try to reverse the situation and satisfy citizen demands within a climate of tension encouraged by political confrontation.

The Royal-Law 16/2022, of September 6 has supposed a big change regarding termination of the contract of domestic workers. The withdrawal doesn`t exist anymore and the unfair dismissal stops being more economical. Nevertheless, there were important legal issues, in relation to the effects of the dismissal and the compatibility of the causes of termination of article 49 of the workers´staute with this special working relationship, that should have been resolved by our Government. Otherwise, when disappearing of withdrawal and create of new objective causes of termination of the contract in article 11.2 of the regulation it is necessary to improve the extinction regime of the family home service so that it is logical and appropriate.

The metaphor of The Map and the Territory first of all precipitates the approach, in general terms, Rhetoric and Advocacy. Then, within the Theory of Legal Argumentation, a distinction is made between logical reasoning and reasonable reasoning (whether dialectical or persuasive). The study of dialectics, which aims at conviction, proceeds from judicial Interpretation and has as its corollary the so-called Judicial Arbitration. On the other hand, the study of Rhetoric, which aims at Persuasion, progresses from the notion of Balancing and has judicial Equity as its corollary. It concludes with a new metaphorical allusion, this time to the sea of doubt, which postulates an alliance between the Theory of Legal Argumentation and the “Art of Doubt” as an exercise in tolerance that avoids dogmatism.

We present a study of the 'Institutions,' a work that Dr. Ella Dunbar Temple prepared when she took up the chair of 'History of Peru' at the National University of San Marcos in Lima in 1958.

We reviewed the two existing texts -notes and printed edition-, and framed it within the topic of the institutions of the Inca Empire, referencing some authors who influenced Professor Dunbar. We also included a brief note on the Quipus and the system of preserving information in the Tahuantinsuyo, which greatly attracted the 16th-century chroniclers.

tocpos: colonial history of a diaguita group in the 17th century

The tocpos were driven out by Topa Inca Yupanqui from the northern coast of present time Peru to the surroundings of Cerro Famatina, in present time northwest Argentina. The Spanish found them there in the 16th century; they were commissioned from 1591, successively transferred to London (Quinmivil Valley) first, and to the foot of the Aconquija after the centenary war of Calchaquí. The refugees in the Calchaquí Valley at the end of the 16th century were denaturalized in 1665. Their encomenderos did not disdain any of the known maneuvers to have, maintain and increase the number of Indians assigned to them. Meanwhile, the Tocpos preserved, at least until the 17th century, their language and customs.

Nowadays, it is necessary to promote Environmental Education aimed at all levels of society, focused on developing sustainable practices that contribute to the conservation of the environment and the reduction of environmental problems in order to achieve sustainable development. Therefore, the main objective of this project is to improve the environmental situation of a neighborhood in Córdoba through the creation of an urban garden and to promote pro-environmental behaviors to support the sustainability of its surroundings. An intervention directed at all the residents has been proposed, consisting of four phases.
