Un cura excelente: don Ventura de Angulo

Abstract

Resumen:

Don Ventura llegó a Zarzalejo en 1748. Fue un notable cura de almas y predicador. Embelleció el templo con un pórtico de entrada, torre, coro y bóveda. Estas obras promovidas por él, le supusieron recibir la mitad de su renta. Fue el representante de la villa ante los tribunales, con tal éxito que la protegió en situaciones difíciles. Construyó la mejor casa del puebloque donó a éste cuando se fue.

Abstract:

Don Ventura arrived in Zarzalejo in 1748. He was an outstanding parish priest and preacher. He improved the appearance of his church with a porch, a tower, a choir and a vault. These works promoted by him meant he only received half his rent. He was ombudsman with such success that the village was protected in very difficult situations. He built the best house of the village which he donated to the people when he left.
