Abstract

The EU Regulation 2018/1139, of the Parliament and the Council, on July 4th 2018, about common rules in the area of civil aviation, has represented a decisive change in the way that it boosts the future harmonious development of the RPAs, in the European zone, to the extent that it doesn’t come to disturb the traditional performance of the civil aviation. The new rule behaves a renewal of the normative national framework, so that it guarantees the law assets at risk; starting by a proper protection of persons. In this context, the use of drones in the port area, considering its probed efficiency, represents an opportunity for change and growth in the sector that it must be compulsory united to a set of relevant regulatory changes about our ports of general interest.
