Abstract

This paper analyzes the religious and community life of several male religious orders in Spain, a similar context to that of the rest of Europe, in relation to the general situation of its members: communities, number and age of the Fathers. And we leave the subject open.

At the moment the most urgent question is to think about what to do with the elderly priests, including those who are physically impaired or those who are not, not only from the point of view of their personal attention, but also mentally and spiritually. They are older and well-educated priests. When planning the solution, it is advisable not to forget those aspects already mentioned above.
