Law and decorum: the ethical and aesthetic dilemma of legal rhetoric

This essay analyzes how the jurist can use legal rhetoric as art (aesthetics) and as virtue (ethics) to shine the truth and, with it, the Justice, without affecting the decorum, understood as the appropriate. To this end we study the classic limits of legal rhetoric and the modern studies about new rhetoric, with a reference to the judicial strategy of rupture.
