The The Order of Saint Jerome. Abandonments and failures

Abstract

The Order of Saint Jerome´s historiography shows its birth and development as a success history. The foundation of new houses followed quickly and soon they arrive to get the protection and patronage of the kings, nobility, wealthy classes and regular people that they soon supported the new Order so they looked for new motives for entitlement. Despite of it, not everything got as planned, there were failures and abandonments of those houses that didn´t see prosper their development.
