Two interconnected subjects matter are discussed in this article. In both we stick fundamentally to terminological issues. The first states that man is created in the image and likeness of God and God is united and present in each man. It is an exhaustive topic for Christian Theology and other religious Confessions. The second theme addresses the union of the Word and the man Jesus, called the “hypostatic union.” This union is special, but is it similar or different in nature to the union of God with each man? To clarify the problem, luminous quotes from Saint Augustine and Fray Luis de León are taken into account.
